This is an important customer parking announcement regarding our site on Clos Parc Morgannwg.

Over the past few months we’ve received many complaints regarding inappropriate parking on Clos Parc Morgannwg, particularly in the evenings.

Many drivers are parking on double yellow lines, mounting pavements and parking on dropped kerbs. This causes many issues, including blocking access to emergency vehicles, neighbouring businesses, residential housing and access for disabled users.

2 weeks ago, we also received a report that a child was hit by a car on the road. Thankfully, we’ve learned that the child is safe and well after a trip to A&E.

Upon looking at CCTV and speaking to witnesses, we’ve concluded that this was an entirely preventable incident had visitors not parked inappropriately on the road. We are now taking action to prevent this from happening again.

From Monday 14 February, roadside parking on Clos Parc Morgannwg will no longer be permitted. All visitors must now park in either of our visitor car compounds:

• Cardiff City Stadium Away Compound (Express Test Centre)

• Overflow Compound (behind House of Sport 3)

Update (23/02/22): Additional double yellow lines have now been painted on Clos Parc Morgannwg to enforce this new rule. Parking notices will be attached to any vehicles not complying and number plates will be noted.
