WELSH GOVERNMENT: LARGE INDOOR EVENTS

Cardiff City House of Sport is very happy to welcome back large events to our facilities. However, there will be some changes in place from Monday 11 October.

Welsh Government has made some upcoming changes to guidelines, which will take effect from Monday. To attend indoor non-seated events where over 500 people are mixing closely together for prolonged periods, people will now be required to show their NHS COVID pass to prove they are either fully vaccinated or have a recent negative Lateral Flow Test.

We now ask that all event organisers cap their events at any number less than 500 (including spectators) OR cover the cost of stewards to allow entry for every attendee with NHS COVID passes or negative Lateral Flow Tests.

We trust that organisers will liaise with CCHOS management and undertake measures to make their events run as smoothly as possible. However, if we find events with more than 500 people are attending without measures in place, we reserve the right to shut our doors and turn people away.

These measures will only apply to organised pre-booked events and not the day-to-day running of our facilities.

Thank you for your co-operation and we look forward to welcoming more events to Cardiff City House of Sport!
