House of Sport Lands Grassroots Funding For New Facilities

Cardiff City House of Sport are excited to announce that through the Cymru Football Foundation’s Fit-For-Future Facilities Programme, we’ve been successful in receiving a grant to support the development of grassroots sports in South Wales.

Through the funding from Cymru Football Foundation – and with support from UK Government – this project will help provide new changing rooms at Amandi Hi at House of Sport @ Ocean Way in Cardiff. This is a new sports facility venue that opened in July 2021 and benefits from a full-sized external 3G pitch as well as a youth-sized external 3G pitch.

Joanna Borley Parker, Executive Director at Cardiff City House of Sport, commented on the funding news saying:

“On behalf of all at House of Sport, as well as our facility users and customers, we are incredibly grateful and excited to have received this generous funding from Cymru Football Foundation and the UK Government. Continued support for community sports initiatives remains as important as ever and contributions such as this helps us to encourage more and more young people, particularly Women & Girls, to take up football, keep active and further develop grassroots sport in Wales.”

The Cymru Football Foundation is delivering the Football Association of Wales’ commitment to deliver inspirational, Fit-For-Future Facilities to enrich communities across the country. Find out more by visiting www.cff.cymru.
