We’re pleased to announce that our track and field facilities at Cardiff International Sports Campus are back open to the public following the completion of the athletics track line markings.

IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) / UKA (United Kingdom Athletics) markings on the athletics track were completed over the course of last week, concluding the redevelopments of the track and field facilities at CISC. The facilities are home to athletics governing body Welsh Athletics and Cardiff Amateur Athletics Club (CAAC).

A SmarTrack system on the track has also been installed to aid analytics and performance tracking for athletes at all levels.

In November 2018, the instalment of a hybrid grass sports playing field surface composed of natural grass combined with artificial fibres was completed to mark the half-way point of the developments at CISC, following the £1m investment into the site in Leckwith.
