The 2020/21 FAW Elite Futsal League took place at House of Sport over the weekend, with Cefn Druids claiming a spot in the UEFA Futsal Champions League.
Cefn Druids defeated FTSL Futsal Club 5-1 in the final on Sunday to win the league title, following an incredible display of performances in the North group stage.
Goals from Matty Waller, Connor Rogers, Joe Saunders and Brad Dobson added to the club’s total tally of 70 goals from 4 matches. The title victory means that the Wrexham-based club will now represent Wales in next season’s UEFA Futsal Champions League.
Eight teams from the north and south battled it out on the futsal courts in an action packed weekend in House of Sport 2. FC United of Wrexham, PF Cymru, Cefn Druids and Luso Cymru made up the Northern group, with the Southern group including FTSL, Futsal Club Cardiff, Swansea University and University of South Wales.
