Cardiff City House of Sport is excited to announce the installation of three additional Padel courts at our House of Sport 1 location.

We are still in the process of finalising construction dates, however we expect for this to begin approximately the week commencing December 9th 2024. This expansion comes in response to the growing enthusiasm for Padel – a dynamic, fast-paced sport rapidly gaining popularity within our community. We anticipate that the new courts will be ready for play by the middle/end of January 2025.

To make space for this exciting development, we will be repurposing one of our two existing netball/5-a-side courts, reducing it to a single combined court. We understand that this change may affect some of our netball and football users, and we are committed to working closely with them to minimise any disruption and ensure continued access to our facilities.

Throughout the construction period, the current Padel courts will remain fully operational. However, there may be some moderate noise at times during the building process. We thank our visitors for their understanding and patience as we work to expand our offerings and enhance the House of Sport experience.

The new Padel courts are part of our broader vision to provide diverse and modern sports options, creating opportunities for everyone in the community to engage with fitness and recreation in new ways.
